How Botox Injections Work
These areas are injected with a substance that blocks acetylcholine, the chemical that allows muscles to contract in response to the nervous system.
This relaxes or weakens the muscle that causes the frown lines to form in an effective manner, giving a smoother appearance. Botox London treatments can also be used as an anti-ageing technique, or to create a brow lift.
Over time, dynamic wrinkles are formed on our faces as a result of years of changing facial expressions. When we make facial expressions, our facial muscles contract, which causes the skin to become wrinkled. Younger, more elastic skin, returns to the original position when resting. As skin ages, it loses some elasticity and collagen, which results in static wrinkles in the skin.

Botox Treatment For Skin Conditions
Botox For Forehead lines
Botox for forehead lines is an effective way to reduce wrinkles and frown lines between the brows. This non-surgical procedure works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause frown lines and wrinkles. The result of Botox fillers treatment is a smoother, more youthful appearance.
Masseter is the muscle that forms a jaw line. If it is too thick, it makes your face look square. Botox injections into the masseter muscles can help to reduce the size of this muscle, which in turn will narrow and soften your jawline. If you have been bothered by a square or masculine-looking jaw, this treatment may be for you. Botox fillers can also reduce teeth grinding and clenching in patients who suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism.
Botox for Smile Lines
Smile lines are fine lines and wrinkles that appear around your mouth. They’re also known as laugh lines or nasolabial folds. Smile lines do get deeper when you smile, but it’s not just smiling that causes them. Smile lines are one of the first places on the face to show signs of aging. They start to appear in your 20s and deepen through ageing. Botulinum toxin for laugh lines can help reduce smile lines by temporarily paralyzing facial muscles so they don’t contract.
Botox for Gummy Smile
A gummy smile is a condition in which a person smiles and shows more of their gum tissue than is considered desirable. A gummy smile may be caused by the upper lip being too high above the teeth, or it can be caused by an excessive amount of gum tissue that is shown when smiling. We offer Botox® treatment for patients who suffer from gummy smiles.
The procedure involves the injection of small quantities of Botox® into specific facial muscles and has been shown to be effective at reducing the appearance of a gummy smile. The results are not permanent; however these fillers, last around three to six months, depending on your metabolism.
Botox for Acne
BOTOX is an acne scar treatment for severe cases of acne, which leads to permanent scars on the face, chest, and back. Acne scars can be treated with various methods such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, chemical peels, collagen injections etc. However, treatments is not suitable for everyone. Botox injections are one of the most commonly used treatments for acne scarring because they are less invasive.
Botox for Frown lines
The Botox treatment for frown lines is a non-surgical procedure that involves injecting a naturally purified protein directly into muscles to temporarily reduce the activity of those muscles. It is most commonly used to smooth the lines between the eyebrows, known as Glabellar Lines. The fillers treatment works by relaxing the muscles that cause these persistent lines to form, and allows the overlying skin to remain smooth and unwrinkled while still maintaining normal facial expression.
Botox for Crows Feet
This is a treatment for the removal of crow’s feet to allow for a more youthful appearance. This treatment is perfect for those who are starting to notice crow’s feet around the eyes that show signs of aging. Crow’s feet, also known as laugh lines, are caused by repeated contraction of the facial muscles around the eye. Botox injections provide a solution by relaxing these muscles.
Botox for Eyebrow lift
Botox can be used to raise a droopy eyebrow, elevate one eyebrow higher than the other and remove eyebrow wrinkles on the forehead. The Botox eyebrow lift is a procedure in which Botox is injected into specific areas in the forehead, glabella, and temporalis region to prevent muscles from contracting and causing wrinkles. The procedure only takes 10-15 minutes to complete but it can do wonders and improve your look by making it appear younger and fresher.
Botox for Bunny Lines
The Bunny lines are two fine wrinkles that appear on both sides of the nose. They are caused by the same muscles that cause the nose to scrunch up when you smile. The Bunny lines are a normal feature of the face, and some people don’t mind them.
But if they bother you, a simple treatment of Botox fillers can improve, soften or even eliminate them altogether. The amount of Botox needed for this treatment is very small, and the injection is quick, easy, and virtually painless. The results are clearly visible after just a few days and last for many months.
Botox for Marionette Lines
Marionette lines refer to the facial wrinkles that extend from the corners of the mouth to the chin. These wrinkles are usually quite prominent in people who have sagging skin, especially around the jawline and neck. They are commonly known as ‘jowling’. Botox treatment for Marionette lines has been proven to be effective in treating deep facial wrinkles.
Botox for Neck Lines
Necklines are a common sign of aging and can be treated by Botox. Botox injections in the neck area will help to improve vertical banding and horizontal creases in the skin. Since skin elasticity decreases with ageing, it becomes less able to withstand the force of gravity.
At the same time, the muscles that pull on our skin start to become loose and enlarged. These factors lead to sagging skin and visible neck line wrinkles. It is an effective treatment for removal of wrinkles that form on the neck and will not only smooth out existing wrinkles but also prevent the appearance of new ones while ageing.
Botox for Hyperhidrosis
Botox treatment is a safe and effective way to treat excessive sweating. It is the only FDA-approved treatment for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). While Botox works very well in most people and is extremely safe, it is not 100% effective in all people.
Botox treatment for Hyperhidrosis is an effective way to treat the problem. Botox injections are given at the site of where you sweat excessively – at the source of the nerves that control sweating. The Botox stops these nerves.
Botox for Migraines
Migraine sufferers can now get this wrinkle-be-gone treatment from Artistry Clinic and experience relief from migraines and pain. The treatment works by targeting the trigeminal nerve. The nerve is responsible for transmitting pain signals between the brain and face.
It also controls many of the muscles in our face, including those that cause wrinkles. Botox blocks the nerve from sending pain signals and relaxes the muscle so it does not contract. Injecting the toxin into migraine-affected areas has been proven to reduce migraine symptoms in about one-third of all patients.
Botox for Lip Flip
Botox can be injected into the lips to help correct a lip flip, which occurs when the upper lip turns down during speech or smiling.
There are two main types of lip flips: a vertical lip flip and a horizontal lip flip. A vertical lip flip refers to when the upper lip turns down at the center while speaking or smiling. A horizontal lip flip means that the corners of the mouth turn down instead of just one side at a time. Both types are corrected by injecting Botox treatments into specific areas of the face and jaw muscles where they attach to bone under your skin.
Botox for Smokers Lines
The treatment is simple and effective, and it lasts up to 6 months in most cases. Botox injections prevent new wrinkles from forming by relaxing the muscles that cause them.
The procedure is not painful, as the botulinum toxin is injected into specific areas using a very fine needle. The injection sites are usually around the mouth and forehead, but they can be anywhere on the face or neck where lines are visible. There is no recovery time after Botox treatments, so you can return to normal (not strenuous) activities immediately after your treatment session.
Botox for Chin Dents
Chin dents are a common problem, especially in women. They can be caused by genetics or by the use of certain medications like Accutane.
Chin dents can be treated with Botox treatments. Botox is injected into the muscle that is responsible for pulling down on the nose and mouth area. When this muscle is relaxed, it allows for a more natural contour to your chin area.

What Happens at The Consultation
How to Prepare For Your Botox Treatment
Here are some tips for preparing for your Botox treatment:
Wear comfortable clothes to your appointment. You’ll be asked to remove any makeup or jewellery before treatment begins.
Drink plenty of water before your appointment — at least eight glasses per day. This will help keep your skin hydrated during treatment.
Avoid alcohol and medications that cause drowsiness in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment, including over-the-counter (OTC) drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen; prescription pain relievers such as codeine; sleep aids like Ambien (zolpidem); and antidepressants like Prozac (fluoxetine), Zoloft (sertraline) or Lexapro (escitalopram). These drugs may increase the risk of bruising after treatment with Botox.
Post Botox Clinic Recovery, Treatment Results and Time
Botox is given through injections by Dr Sarah Shah or Dr Majid Shah, so we will disinfect the skin before injecting the treatment into each of the muscles causing the lines and wrinkles to appear. Numbing cream can be used if you are sensitive to injections, however, this isn’t usually necessary.

In some cases, it may take up to 2 days for the swelling and redness to be completely gone. The results of Botox treatments are noticeable within a week, however, results can still be seen 4-5 weeks following your treatment at our clinic. Following this, results can be seen for up to 4 months after your Botox treatment.
Botox For Men
Botox is a great way to rejuvenate the skin and reduce wrinkles. It can also be used on men to remove facial hair permanently. Botox has been used successfully on both men and women for many years. But because of its popularity among women, Botox is often associated with female beauty treatments. However, there are several benefits for aesthetic treatments men who use Botox as well.
The most common reason for Botox for men is to reduce signs of aging. Men are just as concerned about their appearance as women are, so why shouldn’t they have access to a safe and effective cosmetic procedure like Botox?
Should Guys Get Botox
The answer to that question is yes. Men can, and should, get Botox.
Botox is a neurotoxin that blocks nerve impulses to the muscles that cause wrinkles. It’s been used in cosmetic procedures for years and it works very well to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.
Botox can also be used to treat migraine headaches and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
The most common areas for men to get Botox are around the eyes and forehead, though it can be used on other areas of the body as well.
How Long Does Male Botox Last
Botox Cosmetic is most commonly used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and frown lines. The duration of benefits from a single treatment varies from person to person and depends on your age, skin condition, health history and other variables.
In general, the duration of results from a single treatment ranges from three months to one year. In some cases, you may need additional treatments for optimal results.
Many people will see their results last longer than three months because they start with more severe wrinkles or because they received an extra dose in the same area during their initial treatment.
The length of time that Botox lasts depends on how you use it:
If you want to maintain your results after six months or longer, it may be necessary to repeat the procedure every six months. It’s also important to keep in mind that while results can last longer than six months, they do not last forever. Every patient’s experience is different depending on their needs and goals as well as their lifestyle choices (e.g., sun exposure).

The most commonly reported side effects are pain at injection sites, loss of strength in the injected muscle, and headache. These are minor side effects, and they occur only in a small percentage of those receiving the treatment.
- Pain at injection sites can last a few hours but usually goes away within 24 hours.
- Loss of strength is temporary but varies among patients and is not permanent.
- Headaches can also be mild or severe and can last from several hours to a few days.

Botox isn’t the only neurotoxin that’s used for this purpose. Other options include Dysport and Xeomin — all of which are made by different companies than Botox. The reason these aren’t as popular is because they have less research behind them and don’t work quite as well as Botox does in most cases. In addition to these injectables, there are also laser treatments available which reduce fine lines and wrinkles by using laser light energy.
Who can have Botox injections?

You may be a good candidate for Botox injections if you have moderate to severe wrinkles and want a temporary improvement in the appearance of your skin. You may also be a good candidate for Botox if you have chronic migraine headaches or excessive underarm sweating.
How long do you wait to exercise after Botox?
I would suggest waiting at least 48 hours before exercising after Botox. Botox is a neuromodulator, which means it temporarily paralyzes muscles by blocking the transmission of nerve signals to those muscles. In other words, when you exercise after having Botox, your body may not be able to fully contract the muscles that were injected with Botox (or any other neuromodulator). This can result in muscle weakness or even temporary muscle paralysis (if you are exercising too soon).

Botox’s effects last for about three to six months. During that time, your face will look smooth and less aged than before treatment.

Where does Botox comes from?
Botox is a brand name for the toxin botulinum toxin type A (Botox Cosmetic, Allergan Inc., Irvine, CA). The botulinum toxin type A is purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which occurs naturally in soil and water. The bacterium is grown under controlled conditions and then purified by chromatography and sterile filtered. Each ampule of Botox contains approximately 100 units (U) of botulinum toxin type A (equivalent to approximately 150 kD molecular weight).
The safety and effectiveness of Botox have been established in clinical trials involving thousands of subjects for the treatment of glabellar lines, crow’s feet and lateral canthal lines.
Is Botox safe?
Botox is a trade name for a purified protein that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is used to treat muscular disorders such as spasticity, chronic pain and urinary incontinence as well as cosmetic problems such as wrinkling of the face and lines around the eyes. It has been in use for more than 20 years and has an excellent safety record.
Is Botox vegan?
Unfortunately, no. Botox is derived from Clostridium botulinum, or Clostridium botulinum neurotoxin Type A. This bacteria is found in soil and has been known to cause botulism in humans since ancient times. While this bacteria can be used as a food preservative, it also produces a toxin that causes weakness and paralysis in humans as well as animals—which makes it ideal for use in cosmetic procedures like Botox.
Is Botox toxic to your body?
The internet is rife with rumors about the dangers of Botox. You’ve probably heard that it’s toxic to your body, or that it can cause blindness, or that it’s linked to cancer. The truth is that none of these rumors are true. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not identified any safety concerns associated with injecting small amounts of Botox into facial muscles to temporarily remove the signs of aging.
Can Botox give you flu like symptoms?
While it is true that your immune system can be weakened as a result of Botox, this does not mean that you will get sick from it. Facial injections with Botox have been shown to weaken your immune system for up to ten days after the treatment has been completed.
Can Botox effect your mood?
The theory is that Botox takes away the ability of facial muscles to smile and show emotion. So if you’re not able to express yourself through your face, it makes sense that you might start to feel depressed or even angry. There’s no evidence that this actually happens—in fact, there’s no proof at all that Botox has an effect on mood—but there’s also no evidence to say that it doesn’t, either.
What is the difference between Botox and Baby Botox?
Botox targets muscles that cause frowns, or crow’s feet around their eyes, and in their forehead.
Baby Botox, on the other hand, targets muscles that cause squints (or both).
When is best time to start Botox?
One of the most common questions we receive from patients is, “When is best time to start Botox?” There are a variety of factors that determine when the best time for a patient to start Botox is. In general, we recommend starting no later than age 35.
