The Vampire Procedures have become extremely popular in the past years. The Vampire Facial, in particular, has been promoted by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, which encouraged other people to try it as well.
Although the two procedures, the vampire facelift and vampire facial, sound similar, they are quite different. They both involve drawing blood from the patient, but that’s about it. However, what we could say is that they are extremely beneficial in improving skin texture, diminish the appearance of scars and can also aid in skin rejuvenation.
Let’s see how these two further differentiate so you’ll know which procedure suits you best.
Vampire Facial
The Vampire Facial involves microneedling, where extremely fine needles are inserted into your skin. Blood will be drawn from the patient and introduced into a centrifuge where it will be separated and the end product is called PRP. This will be injected into the small punctures the microroller has created on the first stage. When this is injected into your skin, it tricks your skin into believing it has been injured, and thus it puts your body’s natural healing mechanism to work. New collagen will be formed this way.
This type of treatment is best suited for people who are looking to improve skin texture and want a more youthful and healthy appearance.
With this treatment, a client needs about 3 to 4 treatments every four to six weeks apart in order to see optimum results. After this is done, you would only need some touch ups in order to maintain the effects of the vampire facelift.
Vampire Facelift
In the early stages, the Vampire Facelift looks similar to the Vampire Facial. Blood is drawn from the client and injected into problematic areas. However, the PRP is combined with hyaluronic acid for fast and optimum results. Likewise, the Vampire Facelift stimulates collagen production, but in comparison to the Vampire Facial, this is done on a much deeper level.
This procedure is best suited for patients who suffer from volume loss in the face. Any signs of ageing are treated as well.
Compared to the Vampire Facial, you should be able to see results after 3 weeks after the procedure. The full results will be seen after about 3 months and could last between 1 year and 18 months.
